Katy Perry and John Mayer are now thought to have split following a brief reconciliation. Sources close to the Katy, 30 and John, 37, told RadarOnline.com that the reported two month relationship between the pair was more about convenience than anything else. The site reports: 'Katy and John reconnected once she had a break in her Prismatic World Tour. 'So, for those few months they had a great time, pretending that it would last — and of course it didn’t.
'The reason they have split in the past is because Katy gets busy. John can’t handle the lack of attention, and she can’t handle the trust issues she has when she’s so far away.' MailOnline has contacted a spokesperson for Katy Perry and John Mayer for comment. Katy was seen here cuddling up to John at a Super Bowl after party with Missy Elliott following her half-time performance, which was watched by 110m viewers. Missy, who joined Perry on stage, tweeted the snap to her 2.5m followers with the caption: 'After party Super Bowl with @johnmayor @katyperry.'
